Tailored Organizing is a professional home organizing company based in Salem, Oregon, serving homeowners throughout the Willamette Valley. We provide hands-on organizing, decluttering, packing and unpacking, and move management services — all designed around how you actually live, not how a space is "supposed" to look. We took over the business in March 2022 and have been helping Salem-area families reclaim their homes ever since.

Meet Jen
Owner & Lead Organizer
My path into professional organizing wasn't traditional — and honestly, I think that's part of what makes me good at it.
I wasn't the kid with the perfectly tidy room growing up. But I've always been drawn to spaces that feel intentional, functional, and like home. That instinct got put to the test when my husband and I spent eight years living in Los Angeles, often in small apartments with limited storage. Out of necessity, I learned how to maximize every inch — reworking closets, being deliberate about what we brought into our home, and creating environments that felt beautiful and livable even on a tight budget.
Then the pandemic hit, and everything changed. We had to leave our apartment and downsize significantly, spending time traveling in a small trailer with our daughter and two cats before eventually settling in Salem, Oregon. That season of letting go of so much — and being really intentional about what we kept — changed how I think about spaces and the stuff we fill them with.
While living with family during that transition, I started helping organize their home. I created functional systems, tackled storage areas that felt overwhelming, and brought some order to spaces that had been chaotic for years. I realized I genuinely loved the process — and how much it meant to help someone feel more at ease in their own home.
That's when I reached out to Tailored Organizing. I began working with the previous owner, and after several months she offered me the opportunity to purchase the business as she was relocating. I said yes — and taking over in March 2022 has been one of the most meaningful decisions I've made.
I'm a mom, a wife, and a business owner. So much of what I bring to this work comes directly from my own life experience: wanting a home that feels calm, functional, and supportive of real everyday life. I believe your home should work for you — not the other way around. And I love creating spaces that feel intentional and lived-in, not perfect.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me outside with my family — camping in our Bigfoot trailer (her name is The Moonjumper), riding bikes, paddle boarding, or gardening (beginner status, proudly claimed). Manzanita is one of my favorite places on earth, especially for the sunsets. I love musicals and live theatre, and thanks to my husband — who tour manages a comedy show — I've gotten to experience the behind-the-scenes side of live performance in a way I really treasure.
At home, I'm either watching birds out the window with my Merlin app in hand (self-proclaimed bird nerd, no regrets) or curled up under one of my two electric blankets watching Virgin River. And if there are Domino's brownies involved, even better!

Tailored Organizing is a small, close-knit team of organizers who genuinely love what they do. We're friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to be around — and we take our work seriously without making the process feel heavy. We know that inviting someone into your home can feel vulnerable. We don't take that lightly. Our goal is to make every session feel comfortable, supportive, and — more often than not — even a little fun!

My Interior Design background taught me the effect our environment has on us and the importance of flow. Furthermore, having moved 21 times and becoming a mom of two forced me to face my stuff and regularly practice right-sizing my home, which means being honest about what's important and ruthlessly letting go of what's not. We need to feel supported and at ease in our home and achieve this by knowing where to find and store our things. I want to share these invaluable gifts with you by helping you find your organizing style, proper homes for your belongings and implementing intuitive systems.
